This walking holiday is a 7-day adventure through Jordan. You will be walking in and around Petra, a fascinating historical place and an ancient Nabataean city.
Petra is half-built, half-carved into the rock, and is surrounded by mountains riddled with passages and gorges. It is a magical experience to explore this place on foot.
From Petra the walk continues in Wadi Rum. This is a protected area, a UNESCO's world heritage site in the South of Jordan. This dramatic desert offers mountains of sandstone and granite, wide sandy valleys, narrow canyons and fissures cut deep into the mountains.
Bedouin tribes still live among the mountains of Wadi Rum and their large goat-hair tents are a special feature of the landscape. Many other cultures have lived in Wadi Rum leaving behind rock paintings.
This is a week of experiencing a different culture, feeling the magic of the desert and the hospitality of the Beduins. Watch the most amazing starry skies and listen to the deafening sound of silence.
